Cummins fuel system overhaul 1. Cleaning and inspection of the fuel pump 1).Install plastic dust caps on all the pipe openings of the fuel pump or seal them with tape to prevent dirt from entering the fuel pump (see Figure 1) 2).Remove the sealing gasket material (like 4026171 gasket) on [...]
Bosch 110 series CRI2 Injector parts detail and measurement Through the picture, you can clearly understand all the internal parts of the Bosch 110 injector and the relative positions of the high and low pressure oil lines (note: the red color in the figure is high pressure, and the yellow color is low [...]
This will be a very long blog to explain how to repair the common rail injector. The following is a simple directory that we will update gradually. Finally, it was made into a PDF file for our customers. How Bosch injectors work and some related failure forms Bosch 110 series CR2 Injector [...]
How to solve the problem of black smoke from the engine? In the construction working, we could often see the black smoke of the excavator. As we all know that the reason of the engine black smoke is insufficient combustion. The reasons are roughly divided into the intake system is blocked, the hydraulic [...]
If the high pressure pump works well, but your Car still can't start, let's move to next step to check the common rail pipe. On the common rail, there are one rail pressure sensor, and also one Pressure limiting valve. The common rail pressure sensor is located on the fuel rail. Its function [...]
(7)Needle valve and needle valve hole guide surface abrasion The needle valve moved in the needle valve hole frequently and reciprocately, in addition the diesel impurities and dirt will make the needle valve hole guide surface abradant, so that the inside gap increases or scratch the needle valve, caused the injector leakage increased, pressure reduction, [...]
(5)The abrasion of needle valve head The nozzle needle valve head was impacted frequently by the reciprocating movement of neddle valve, it will gradually form small pit after a long time, thereby it increase the needle valve stroke, and affect the injector working. Solution: The needle valve can be clamped to the grinder for grinding the head surface, [...]
(3)Expansion of nozzle needle valve hole As the high-pressure oil flow continuously spray and scouring, nozzle needle valve holes will be expanded, leading to injection pressure drop, spray distance shortened, diesel atomization getting poor, cylinder carbon accumulation increases. Solution: Single Hole shaft needle injector aperture is generally bigger than 1mm, place a steel ball(diameter of 4~5 mm) at [...]
The injector is installed on the cylinder head, nozzle is deep into the diesel engine combustion chamber, working under high temperature and pressure and gas corrosion environment for long time, the interior parts are subjected to high-speed flow of fuel and the impact of micro-mechanical impurities in the repeated scouring of fuel, it is extremely easy [...]

Last time we said, when our engine didn't work, how to check the fuel pump metering valve,(3 tips for checking the fuel metering valve) if it works well, then let's check the Injection Pump Overflow Valve. The Injection Pump Overflow Valve is located on the side of the injection pump. It is also used to connect [...]
Last time we said, when our engine didn't work, we need to check the oil circuit, and if the inlet oil pipe bolt didn't clog, we go on to check the fuel metering valve, here is 3 tips to Prove that the fuel metering unit works well: Blowing against it, If it's ventilated, then it works well. [...]
The Fuel metering valve is a spare part on the fuel pump to control the feeding of the oil into the pump. The fuel metering valve solenoid is powered from a system relay on the positive side and the ECU switches the negative side to the ground. The duty cycle of the signal determines [...]
When there is a big breakdown for our engine, most of the technicians can handle it. But some little problems, they're hard to notice. Today we are going to introduce a case that happens when we are overhauling the oil circuit. When the engine failure, the technicians will check inlet oil pipe, when dismantled the bolt [...]
Fuel supply system of diesel engine consists of the following components Fuel tank Fuel lift pump or fuel feed pump Fuel filter Fuel injection pump High pressure pipe Over flow valve Fuel injector Click here to check more fuel injection spare parts Fuel is drawn from fuel tank by fuel feed pump and [...]
Common rail and its benefits Common rail is a fuel injection system found in modern diesel engines. Common rail systems provide a level of flexibility which can be exploited for class leading emission control, power and fuel consumption. This enables Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to design for optimum performance and exceptional end-user value across [...]
How does the ECU work? Simply it like a general command process: "thinking", "command" and finally "confirm" "Reconnaissance" isbeen finished by the sensor, the sensor is responsible for the entire engine "reconnaissance", in an engine, there are many sensors, big or small. Throttle position sensor, crankshaft speed sensor, oxygen sensor, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, [...]
Nowaday the common rail system become more and more popular in market, main systems include Bosch common rail system, Denso system, Delphi system, Cummins system etc.But many people don't know how to tell the EUI, EUP and common rail injector, thought they are all electronic injection common rail injector, so let's see the detail as below: [...]
